The Human Bean launches new e-commerce store and franchise portal

The US drive-thru coffee chain is marking 25 years in business with a refreshed consumer website and new online platform for prospective franchisees

Oregan-based drive-thru coffee chain The Human Bean has unveiled a refreshed consumer website with a new e-commerce store alongside a new franchise portal.
 
Launched to mark 25 years in busness, the new consumer website features an updated beverage menu and searchable store locator map. Meanwhile, a new e-commerce platform retails merchandise, gift cards and an at-home coffee range.
 
“For the main website, we wanted to infuse energy into our drink descriptions and e-commerce store. It's fun and dynamic, and it represents the kind of experience you have when you visit The Human Bean drive-thrus. It’s true to who we are,” said Janie Page, Chief Marketing Officer, The Human Bean.
 
In press release, The Human Bean’s said its new franchise website underlines the brand’s focus on attracting quality partners for expansion and will enable prospective franchisees to access resources and answer frequently asked questions.
 
“The Human Bean has grown to a nationwide company because we continue to pick and attract the right kind of partners. And then we provide guidance and tools to make their ownership experience really enjoyable and rewarding. This new website that’s dedicated to our franchise family is part of that endeavour,” said  Scott Anderson, Franchise COO, The Human Bean.

Boosted by the benefits of social distancing during the pandemic, US drive-thru coffee operators continue to gain ground amid growing consumer demand for convenience and seamless transactions.
 
Although typically carrying high start-up costs, drive-thru coffee operators can benefit from lower running costs and steady customer traffic.
 
Fellow Oregon-based drive-thru coffee operator Dutch Bros increased its store count by 25% in 2022 to exceed 670 stores, making it the fastest-growing branded coffee chain in the US at the time.
 
Meanwhile, Nebraska-based Scooters Coffee reached 600 stores in April 2023 and is seeking to operate 1,000 outlets by the end of 2025.
 
In April 2023, Octane Coffee launched the ‘world’s fastest coffee drive-thru’ in the US, capable of serving up to 800 beverages a day via robotic barista arm.
