Filipino coffee chain Pickup Coffee has announced an extended partnership with petrol station operator, Caltex.
Caltex, a subsidiary of Singapore-based petrol giant Chevron Corporation, currently operates 630 petrol stations across the Philippines. Small-format coffee chain Pickup Coffee currently operates five coffee trucks across Caltex’s network in Quezon City, Pasig City, Makati, Caviti and Caloocan City, with the new deal expected to significantly scale the partnership.
“Pickup Coffee is thrilled to partner with Caltex. This partnership reflects our commitment to working together to deliver exceptional value to our customers. We are excited about the possibilities this collaboration holds and eagerly anticipate the positive impact it will have on the customer experience,” said Francis Flores, CEO, Pickup Coffee.
Founded in March 2022 by Jaime Gonzales and Diego Lorenzo, Pickup Coffee opened its first outlet in Bonifacio Global City the following June. The value-focused coffee chain, which offers espresso-based beverages from ₱50 ($0.89) with a ceiling price of ₱100 ($1.72), is one of the fastest-growing coffee chains in Southeast Asia and reached its 300-store milestone in December 2024.
Partnering with Pickup Coffee forms part of Caltex’s strategy to grow its non-petrol retail business, drive additional footfall to its sites and elevate customer experience.
Caltex has forged strong retail partnerships with several coffee chains across its global network of petrol stations, including with Chao Doi in Thailand, ZUS Coffee and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Malaysia, and Seattle Coffee Company in South Africa.
