Former McDonald’s Sweden executive Branko Lazarevic is tasked with refining the Nordic coffee giant’s daily operations and supporting sales growth across its five markets

Espresso House has appointed former McDonald’s Sweden executive Branko Lazarevic as its new Director of Retail Operations and Franchising.
Lazarevic joins Stockholm-based Espresso House from franchise consultancy FranchiseArkitekt and previously spent six years as Director Operations & Franchising at McDonald’s Sweden.
Speaking to World Coffee Portal, Lazarevic said his main focus will be refining Espresso House’s daily operations and improving customer experience, while also supporting sales growth across the coffee chain’s five markets.
“Branko has over 30 years of experience in operational leadership and franchising, with a proven ability to improve efficiency, raise standards, and deliver results. During his time at McDonald’s Sweden, he played a key role in driving operational excellence and developing franchising,” Thomas Kelly, CEO of Espresso House, said in a press release.
Stockholm-based Espresso House is the largest branded coffee chain in the Nordics and the 12th largest in Europe by outlets, with 500 stores across Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Germany.
