The Steam Single is designed to cater to both professional baristas and home coffee enthusiasts, filling a gap in Slayer’s product offering. The single-group espresso machine boasts several unique features, making it an ideal choice for those serious about their coffee.
Notably, it includes an internal freshwater reservoir, a first for any Slayer machine, enhancing its suitability for domestic use. This allows users to simply place the machine on a countertop, plug it in, and start brewing without needing a direct water connection.
Key features of the Steam Single include an intuitive barista dashboard and user interface, manual dial-in and a dedicated pre-infusion circuit letting the barista gently saturate the coffee bed for more balanced, consistent extractions. These innovations ensure a consistent and superior extraction process, emphasizing the flavour profiles of single origins and blends alike. The machine's sustainable design is built to last, with a power-saving function that reduces energy consumption during idle times.
The production capabilities of Slayer Espresso have significantly expanded since the acquisition by Cimbali Group in 2017, with a new facility in Seattle nearly tripling annual capacity from 2,000 to 5,000 machines. This growth underscores the brand’s commitment to maintaining its artisanal roots while scaling up to meet global demand.
Josep Feixa, with 25 years of experience in the coffee industry, has recently been appointed as European Sales Director of Cimbali Group. Josep expressed his enthusiasm for this new chapter for Slayer, a relatively young company in the old coffee world.
“I am very excited about launching the Steam Single in Europe. The coffee industry, for me, is both a passion and a constant challenge to learn more about the culture and artistry behind each coffee bean. I hope to bring passion, know-how, and new challenges throughout Europe in my new role,” Feixa said.
With the Steam Single, Slayer Espresso continues to uphold its reputation for excellence, offering a product that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation, setting the stage for future advancements in the espresso machine market.
