Black Rifle Coffee Company has appointed former Red Bull sales executive Kim Evanoff as its new Chief Commercial Officer.

In a LinkedIn post, the veteran-owned coffee chain and retailer praised Evanoff as a ‘heavy hitter’ whose 20 years of retail, sales, and general management experience would be a ‘game-changer’ for its leadership team.

Evanoff joins Black Rifle from Red Bull, where she served as Senior Vice President of Sales from November 2022. Black Rifle said she delivered revenue growth, led commercial strategy, elevated strategic partnerships and executed brand strategy during her time with the Austrian energy drink giant.

Evanoff, who will report to Black Rifle CEO Chris Mondzelewski, previously spent 17 years at household product manufacturer SC Johnson where she managed major national accounts, including Target and Walmart, and served as Senior Director of Sales 2021-2022.

Utah-based Black Rifle posted 4% year-on-year revenue decline in 2024 following slow sales from its direct-to-consumer channel and 37 coffee shops. However, its wholesale business, which contributes two-thirds of total revenues, achieved 9% year-on-year sales growth. Group revenues totalled $391.5m.

The veteran-owned operator also significantly narrowed its losses last year to a $7.6m net deficit for the 12 months ended 31 December 2024 compared to $56.7m in 2023.
