Nebraska-based Scooter’s Coffee has reached 700 stores across the US with a new drive-thru outlet in Elkhart, Indiana.
Founded in 1998, Scooter’s Coffee is one of the fastest-growing coffee chains in the US. The 700-store milestone comes 10 months after the drive-thru coffee chain opened its 500th outlet and less than six months after it reached 600 stores.
With stores currently present in 29 US states, Scooter’s Coffee plans to reach 800 outlets by the end of 2023 and 1,000 sites by the end of next year.
“Opening our 700th location and celebrating this milestone with the great community in Elkhart is really exciting for Scooter’s Coffee. We look forward to sharing our amazing brand and love for all things coffee with new customers,” said Joe Thornton, President, Scooter’s Coffee.
Scooter’s Coffee is the fifth largest branded coffee chain in the US, behind Starbucks, Dunkin’, Panera Bread and Dutch Bros.
World Coffee Portal research shows that the total branded US coffee shop market grew by 4% over the last 12 months to exceed 40,000 outlets and is forecast to reach 45,200 outlets by September 2028.
