Nebraska-based Scooter’s Coffee has promoted Nick Jarecke to Chief Supply Chain Officer.
Jarecke joined the drive-thru coffee chain in June 2019 as Vice President of Supply Chain. He is credited with establishing an efficient distribution network to support Scooter’s Coffee outlet growth across the US – including expanding distribution centers in Nebraska, Missouri, Texas and Georgia.
Scooter’s Coffee said Jarecke will be responsible for Harvest Roasting, the coffee chain’s affiliated and vertically integrated roasting division, and will also lead on sourcing, cost management, logistics, new product commercialisation, field execution and supplier relationships.
Founded in 1998, Scooter’s Coffee currently operates more than 700 stores across the US and plans to reach 1,000 outlets by the end of 2024.
The drive-thru coffee chain is the fifth largest branded coffee chain in the US, behind Starbucks, Dunkin’, Panera Bread and Dutch Bros. The total US branded coffee shop market exceeded 40,000 stores in October 2023.
