SSP Group has partnered with Jones the Grocer to launch the artisan café, bakery and deli concept in Singapore.
The 6,600sq ft outlet at Changi Airport Terminal 2 is the first-ever duplex concession in the airport. The ground-floor quick-service café is already in operation, with an upper floor restaurant and bar set to open by the end of 2023.
“We are thrilled to bring the Jones the Grocer experience to Singapore. Our partnership with SSP marks a significant brand milestone as we introduce Jones the Grocer’s first ever duplex concession at Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 2. We look forward to serving fantastic food and delivering memorable experiences at one of the world’s best airports in the world’s most dynamic city,” said Yunib Siddiqui, CEO, Jones the Grocer.
Jones the Grocer opened its first outlet in Sydney, Australia, in 1996 and currently operates 30 stores across the Middle East and Asia.
In February 2021, Jones the Grocer’s parent company, JTG Holdings Ltd, announced ambitious plans to reach 200 stores globally by 2026. The chain will make its UK debut in 2024 with an outlet at Heathrow Airport in partnership with The Restaurant Group.
SSP Group, which has operated in Singapore for 30 years, also manages licensed stores of Vietnamese restaurant chain NamNam, Hong Kong’s Tai Cheong Bakery and bar concept Archipelago Craft Brew House at Changi Airport.
