Following a record-breaking 2024, the fast-growing independent bakery-café chain is bolstering its store network with six new outlets and five major refurbishments

UK-based Cornish Bakery is anticipating robust sales and outlet growth in 2025 after posting record half-year results.
The premium bakery-café chain posted 9.7% like-for-like sales growth for the last six months of 2024, with total year-on-year total sales increasing 26%.
Cornish Bakery also added six new outlets during the period, including the brand’s most successful-ever opening in Milton Keynes which generated over £40,000 ($50,000) first week sales in December 2024.

In January 2025, Cornish Bakery opened a new store in Cirencester and now operates 66 outlets across the UK. The premium bakery-café chain has a further six sites in development and is refurbishing five existing bakeries in Totnes, Swanage, Bude, Fowey and Sidmouth ahead of the busy Easter holiday trading period.
“The second half of 2024 saw a flurry of new openings in Nottingham, Taunton, Winchester, Chelmsford, Milton Keynes and Cirencester, and now we are completing on five major refurbishments. It has been so rewarding to witness the customer appetite and enthusiasm for our brand. We’ve currently got another six new bakery locations lined up and will be announcing these soon. Alongside our constantly rising sales and team engagement figures, this all means that 2025 is going to be an exciting year for us,” said Mat Finch, Managing Director, Cornish Bakery.
Founded in 1994, Cornish Bakery serves specialty coffee supplied by London-based Union Hand Roasted Coffee, alongside a premium food menu of pasties, pastries and brunch dishes. The premium bakery-café chain was nominated as one of Europe’s Best Bakery/Food Chains at the European Coffee & Hospitality Awards 2024.
