US coffee franchise Ziggi’s Coffee has reached 100-stores with a new drive-thru outlet in Brighton, Colorado.
The coffee chain has opened 21 net new stores in 2024 to date, including first sites in the states of Georgia, New Hampshire and Maine. In April 2024, Ziggi’s Coffee announced a goal to reach 125 outlets by the end of the year.
“We are thrilled to open our 100th location in our home state of Colorado, making this milestone all the more special,” said Brandon Knudsen, co-Founder and CEO, Ziggi’s Coffee.
Founded in Longmont, Colorado, in 2004, Ziggi’s Coffee opened its first drive-thru site in 2010 and began franchising in 2016. The coffee chain has more than 240 stores in development, according to its website.
In November 2023, Ziggi’s Coffee signed its largest franchise deal to-date to open 50 new stores in Atlanta, Georgia.
World Coffee Portal’s Project Café USA 2025 report shows US branded coffee shop operators opened more than 2,000 net new outlets in the 12 months to October 2024, with market leaders Starbucks and Dunkin’ leading outlet growth alongside fast-growing drive-thru specialists Dutch Bros, Scooter’s Coffee and 7 Brew Coffee.
The total US branded coffee shop market now comprises over 42,700 stores and is forecast to surpass 51,100 outlets in 2029.
