US doughnut and coffee chain Duck Donuts has launched in the Bahamas with an outlet in Nassau – the first of three planned locations on the Caribbean island.

The 1,400sq ft store features counter service and digital ordering points, with dedicated areas for mobile and third-party pick-up orders, as part of Duck Donuts’ speed of service-focused store design

The Bahamas is Duck Donuts’ second Caribbean market following Curaçao, where the chain launched in October 2023.

“We are thrilled to be a part of the Duck Donuts family and expand our presence in the Caribbean region. We are excited for future development in tourist areas as well to serve smiles and warm, delicious donuts across the island,” said franchisee Mercianna Moxey.

Founded in 2007, Duck Donuts operates more than 150 stores across 26 US states. The Pennsylvania-based chain first announced plans to enter the Bahamas in April 2023 as part of a wave of new international franchise agreements, which also included plans to open stores in Australia, the UK and Iraq.

Its Nassau launch follows a debut in the Philippines in July 2024 and adds to new market entries in Egypt, Curaçao, Qatar and Thailand in 2023. In total, Duck Donuts operates in eight international markets.
