US donut and coffee chain Duck Donuts has launched in the Philippines with an outlet in Makati – a key retail and financial hub in Metro Manila.

Pennsylvania-based Duck Donuts signed its largest franchise agreement to-date with Bravo Foods Corp in January 2024 to open 25 sites in the Philippines by 2030.

Bravo Foods Corp expects to open a second outlet by the end of this month before adding five further stores by the end of 2025.

“This expansion is a testament to the growing global love for our brand, and we can’t wait to share our warm, delicious donuts with the community of Metro Manila,” said Betsy Hamm, CEO, Duck Donuts.

Founded in North Carolina in 2007, the bakery café chain currently operates 141 stores across the US, alongside a handful of sites in seven countries. The Philippines is Duck Donuts’ second market in East Asian following its debut in Thailand in October 2023.

The donut and coffee chain expects further international outlet growth this year and has franchise agreements in place to launch in Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, Australia, the Bahamas, Iraq and the UK
