US bakery café chain Shipley Do-Nuts has strengthened its development team in a bid to accelerate outlet growth and shorten the timeframe between franchisees signing and opening stores.
Texas-based Shipley Do-Nuts opened six new stores across Texas and Oklahoma in its first quarter to approach 360 outlets across 12 US states. The business also signed 14 new franchise deals for more than 60 new outlets during the three months ending 31 March 2024.
In a bid to ‘bolster its growth trajectory’, Shipley Do-Nuts appointed Jonathan Massey as its new Vice President of Sales and Fred Frey as Director of Franchise Recruitment. Both previously held Franchise Development Manager roles at Pizza Hut and HTeaO respectively.
“Our goal is to be substantially faster than the industry standard 12-month timeline from signing to cash registers ringing. We have a robust development pipeline, and we want to help our franchisees get their shops open faster so they can quickly realise the power and potential of our growing brand,” said Keith Sizemore, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development, Shipley Do-Nuts.
