Paris Baguette North America is seeking to build on strong outlet growth momentum to open more than 100 outlets in 2025.

The bakery-café chain opened 51 net new stores across the US and Canada last year to surpass 200 sites, while also signing 163 franchise deals and 78 lease agreements.

In a press release, CEO Darren Tipton said there is a ‘a true pathway’ to doubling its opening rate in 2025, supported by a strengthened executive leadership team. The group promoted key personnel to lead its finance, people, operations, supply chain and marketing functions in January 2024, before adding Norm Ginsberg as Vice President of Operations and Brian Egan as Vice President of Development in August.

“The growth we saw last year was truly remarkable, and I firmly believe that our success is driven by our people-first approach. By strengthening our C-level leadership team and focusing on comprehensive support systems, we’ve created a solid foundation for sustainable growth while maintaining the high-quality guest experience that defines Paris Baguette,” Tipton said.

Paris Baguette North America entered five new US states in 2024 and plans to further expand its presence by opening first stores in Connecticut, Missouri, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Indiana, Idaho and Delaware by the end of the year.

The bakery-café chain, which has a target to reach 1,000 outlets across North America by 2030, has achieved 16 consecutive quarters of positive comparable sales growth and approached $500m in sales last year.

Founded in South Korea by food conglomerate SPC Group in 1988, Paris Baguette entered the US in 2005 and opened its first store in Canada in 2023.

In January 2025, SPC Group outlined plans to open a bakery production facility in Texas, US, to supply its North America stores and support planned expansion to Latin America, which will fall under the remit of its Paris Baguette North America licensee.

The business is also currently seeking a master franchise partner to launch in Mexico – a market where it sees potential to open over 100 stores – as well as the US territories of Guam and Puerto Rico.
