Minnesota-based Dunn Brothers Coffee has announced ambitious plans to open 250 stores over the next five years.
Founded in 1987, Dunn Brothers Coffee roasts small batches in each of its 50 outlets across Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin.
In August 2023, the Gala Capital Partners-owned coffee chain appointed former Black Rifle Coffee Company Chief Operating Officer Scott Harvey as its new President to lead franchise development and oversee the implementation of its smaller format and drive-thru stores.
In a press release, Dunn Brothers Coffee said it has five new stores in its immediate pipeline and confirmed it will roll-out a network of drive-thru only sites to accelerate outlet growth across new states.
Expansion will initially focus on the Interstate 35 Corridor which runs from Minnesota through Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.
“We have a legacy of quality and keeping that as our north star allows us to bridge generations. For many communities, access to quality coffee has been limited, or even nonexistent, but we see an opportunity to change that,” Harvey said.
