Miami-based investment group Star8 Corporation, owner of Florida-based coffee roaster Café Domino, is in negotiations to acquire an ‘established roaster with a rich history in New England’. 
 

Star8 Corporation, which acquired Café Domino as part of its deal to buy real-estate, coffee and hospitality portfolio Impagliazzo Holdings Group in May 2024, declined to disclose the identity of the coffee roaster until the deal is finalised.  

However, in a press release the business said the company in question currently produces eight million tonnes of coffee annually and has distribution across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania – a reach that will ‘significantly’ scale Café Domino’s operations.

Deeply rooted in the rich Italian and Latin coffee cultures, we have learned the importance of quality, authenticity, and the shared experience that coffee brings. By acquiring this roaster, we are excited to infuse these cultural influences into new markets, ensuring that the passion and flavor of Café Domino reach even more people,” said Pino Impagliazzo, CEO, Café Domino.  

Café Domino currently supplies approximately 350 US wholesale clients and announced distribution deals with several grocery retailers across Florida in May 2024, which will see its products stocked at nearly 100 locations. Café Domino expects to add an additional 120 supermarkets to its distribution footprint within the next 12 months.
