Jaipur-based Nothing Before Coffee (NBC) has launched its first overseas store with an outlet in Porto, Portugal.

Founded in 2017, NBC currently operates 55 outlets across 25 Indian cities. Following its Portugal debut, the value-focused coffee chain outlined plans to open 100 stores in Europe, quadruple its presence in India to 400 stores and generate Rs 400 Cr ($48m) annual revenues by 2026.

The chain’s European debut follows hot on the heels of Hyderabad-based Roastery Coffee House opening its first international outlet in Helsinki, Finland, in March 2024.

NBC and Roastery Coffee House are the first Indian coffee chains to establish a physical presence in Europe since Café Coffee Day, which launched in Austria and the Czech Republic in 2005 and 2010 respectively before exiting Europe in 2019.
