Foxtail Coffee Co. is seeking to open 30 new outlets across Florida within the next five years.
The coffee roaster and café chain, which currently operates 50 stores across Florida and a further two in Georgia, is primarily targeting the harbour city of Tampa Bay for its expansion. The majority of Foxtail Coffee Co.’s stores in the state are located in the central cities of Kissimmee and Orlando.
Foxtail Coffee Co. opened its first store and roasting facility in Winter Park in December 2016. The coffee roaster and café chain, which sources coffee from Mexico, Colombia, Ethiopia and Guatemala, said it will continue to focus on larger retail spaces and premium café experiences over smaller-format, on-the-go outlets.
This is despite data indicating an increasing grab-and-go culture across the US branded coffee shop market. World Coffee Portal research shows that 68% of US consumers surveyed purchased a beverage to-go on their most recent coffee shop visit — 7% higher than pre-pandemic.
The US market is forecast to exceed 41,900 outlets by 2027, displaying five-year outlet growth of 1.8% CAGR.
