The US bakery and coffee chain has appointed Garrand Moehlenkamp as its branding agency of record as it embarks on a period of significant franchise growth in the US
Shipley Do-Nuts says it has 350 new franchise store agreements in place
Shipley Do-Nuts is embarking on an extensive marketing and advertising campaign as it continues what it calls and ‘aggressive growth strategy’ in the US.
In a press release, the Houston-based company said it had appointed creative agency Garrand Moehlenkamp to promote the brand to a wider audience, the first time it had made such an investment.
The "Do-Happy" platform will highlight the brand’s 85-year heritage and will appear in-store and across social media.
Building on a
successful 2021, the Shipley said it had agreements in place to open more than 350 new locations Texas, Georgia, Maryland, Tennessee, Florida and Colorado over the next five years, which if successful would double its current number of outlets.
"Our partnership with Garrand Moehlenkamp represents a major step in developing our brand as we begin to introduce Shipley to an ever-widening consumer base," said Shipley CMO Donna Josephson.
"Unlike most brands, we've never done this before,” Josephson added.
In January, Shipley Do-Nuts said it had experienced 26% stores growth between 2018 and 2021, with the brand now operating 350 stores across 10 US states.
