The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) has appointed Paul Diver as Vice President of Marketing, Gregg Benvenuto as Vice President of Development and Franchising and Michael Chachula as Head of Digital.
The appointments bring decades of hospitality experience to the company and will help scale the coffee chain to reach more consumers in new and existing markets, according to the US coffee chain.
"We are building a world-class team that will help us to accelerate our footprint and digital presence in the post Covid era," said Sanjiv Razdan, CBTL President, Americas and India, who was newly appointed to the role in May 2021.
"Today, speed and convenience are what consumers are looking for and we understand what our guests want and how they want to access it. Paul, Gregg and Michael bring a proven track record of success to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf with each having deep knowledge and expertise in their respective disciplines that will drive our expansion and ultimately give guests an even better and seamless experience across all touchpoints," added Razdan.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf was founded in Los Angeles, USA, in 1963. In late-2019 the coffee chain was acquired by Filipino fast-food group, Jollibee Foods Corp, as part of a deal worth around $350m in late-2019. The investment gave Jollibee access to CBTL’s 1,055 global store portfolio, the majority of which is located in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
