Wagamama will now serve Grind’s signature coffee blend across its 165 UK restaurants as part of an extended partnership with the London-based specialty coffee group.

The Japanese-inspired restaurant chain first began serving Grind speciaslty coffee as part of a pilot brunch menu at 22 of its stores in July 2024.

As part of a strategy to capture shorter dwell-time trade and boost early daypart footfall, Wagamama has now rolled out the Grind across its stores nationwide alongside a new range of sweet treats.

In a press release, Wagamama said serving Grind is the “perfect way to finish any meal” and will also provide customers with a “whole new reason to visit”.

Founded in 2010, Grind currently operates 11 outlets and three coffee carts across London. The boutique hospitality group, which also operates wholesale, e-commerce and online subscription channels, achieved B Corp certification in April 2024.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing our coffee to Wagamama guests across the country. This partnership allows us to share our signature blends with even more people in a unique and exciting setting,” said Stacey Britt Fitzgerald, Brand Director, Grind.

In July 2024, UK airline British Airways began serving Grind’s specialty coffee on all European flights from Heathrow and Gatwick airports. The group also counts private members club Soho House and Brewdog among its wholesale clients.

Other UK-based restaurant chains to elevate their coffee offer with a specialty coffee partnership include Dishoom with Union Hand Roasted Coffee, Notto Pasta Bars with Assembly Coffee, and Coco Di Mama with Allpress Espresso
