Hong Kong-based Starbucks franchisee Maxim’s Group has reached 1,000 licensed Starbucks stores with a new site at the Diamond Plaza shopping centre in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Maxim’s Group opened its first Starbucks outlet in Hong Kong in 2000 and now licenses the US coffee chain across six further East Asia markets – Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Macau and Laos.
“We had 126 Starbucks stores in two territories when I first led our Starbucks portfolio in 2012 and I count myself super lucky to be part of this growth story. Proud of our over 10,000 partners who put on their green apron every day serving the 1,000 communities we operate today,” said Norbert Tan, Chief Operating Officer, Maxing Group.
Maxim Group’s largest Starbucks markets by outlets are Thailand (507 stores), Hong Kong (163), Singapore (143) and Vietnam (115).
Founded in 1956, Maxim’s Group operates more than 2,000 outlets across its foodservice portfolio, which also includes the Chinese restaurant chains Maxim’s Place, Jade Garden and Jasmine, and international quick-service brands Thai Basil, Genki Sushi, Shake Shack and The Cheesecake Factory.
