US iced tea chain HTeaO has strengthened its senior management team with the appointments of Shane Clark as Chief Development Officer and Michael Stoddard as Vice President of IT.

In a press release, Texas-based HTeaO said the appointments will position the 150-store business for continued growth as it seeks to scale its presence to further US states. The iced tea chain currently operates sites in Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Florida, Louisiana and Missouri.

Clark joins HTeaO from Dunkin’ and Baskin Robbins franchise group Quality Brand Group LLC (QBG) and will oversee real estate strategy, site selection and construction management.

“My goal is to help expand HTeaO’s presence by creating a streamlined, scalable development process that meets our high standards and resonates with each community we enter. With a talented team and a dynamic brand, I’m confident we can make HTeaO a favourite stop in neighbourhoods nationwide,” he said.

Stoddard will be responsible for all aspects of HTeaO’s technology strategy, including launching a new app and introducing gift cards.

“I’m passionate about finding technology solutions that improve processes and rolling them out system-wide to make a direct impact in the field. I’m excited to bring this approach to HTeaO as we work to enhance our technology for both our customers and our franchisees,” Stoddard added.

Launched in 2009, HTeaO reached 100 stores in January 2024 and outlined plans to reach 500 US outlets by the end of 2026.

Alongside more than 25 flavours of iced tea, HTeaO also offers a small hot and cold coffee menu. In January 2024, the business unveiled a new premium coffee menu after signing a supply deal with Texas-based coffee roaster Free Rein Coffee Company.
