UK-based 200 Degrees has entered the UK premium automated coffee machine market with the installation of its first Coffee 2GO unit at a student accommodation block in Nottingham.
The specialty coffee roaster and café chain, which operates 21 UK outlets and serves over 500 wholesale clients, said its Coffee 2GO concept represents ‘another string in our bow’ – which also includes an e-commerce site, at-home coffee subscription service and barista school operations.
200 Degrees said its Coffee 2GO machines is designed for UK hotels, university campuses and hospitality venues which have limited space but are seeking a barista-quality coffee offer. The machine serves a range of hot espresso-based beverages, using 200 Degrees’ Brazilian Love Affair beans and fresh milk.

There are so many scenarios where a cup of 200 Degrees coffee can make your day that little bit better – whether you’re working, studying, on the move or relaxing. By providing even more opportunities for people to enjoy our coffee, we’re one step closer to eradicating bad coffee from all walks of life,” said Will Kenney, Commercial Director, 200 Degrees.

World Coffee Portal’s Automation Report UK 2023 shows the total UK consumer-facing premium vending and self-serve coffee market grew by more than 2,000 units (11%) in the 12 months to September 2023 to reach to exceed 20,770. Costa Express’ 13,200 units make up nearly two thirds of the total market.
Alongside We Proudly Serve Starbucks, which has 1,100 units, fellow UK coffee chains LEON, Pret A Manger and M&S Café also operate self-serve coffee machines across the UK.
