Jaipur-based Nothing Before Coffee (NBC) has outlined ‘aggressive’ expansion plans for the next three months and is forecasting full-year revenues of Rs 100 Cr ($12m) next year and Rs 400 Cr ($48m) by 2026. 
 

The value-focused operator opened 17 new stores in its quarter ending 30 June 2024 and reached 64 outlets with its latest site in Pune, Maharashtra.  

With a presence across 26 cities, NBC is seeking to open at least 35 additional stores over the next three months and has a longer-term goal of operating 400 stores in India by 2026.

In a press release, NBC said achieving its growth plans will help solidify its position in India’s fast-growing branded coffee shop market, where several domestic brands are vying to meet surging demand for premium out-of-home coffee. 
 

Small-format chain abCoffee is seeking to scale from 48 sites to 150 by the end of 2024 and sees potential to operate 10,000 stores across India within the next 10 years. 

In June 2024, five-store Tan Coffee partnered with franchise consultancy Building Brands for Tomorrow (BBFT) to kickstart outlet expansion across India, with plans to open 15 new franchised outlets by the end of March 2025. A month later, First Coffee – which currently has three sites across New Delhi – announced plans to open 35 sites across the next six months.
