Ann-marie Murphy, Chief People Officer, SSP Group
SSP Group has announced that Ann-marie Murphy will join the company as its next Chief People Officer.
The global travel concession operator said Murphy, who will take up her role early in 2024, will shape and drive its people and cultural agenda. She succeeds Nathan Clements, who had held the role since June 2021.
SSP Group currently operates food and beverage outlets in travel hubs across 36 markets globally, employing more than 40,000 staff.
“With her extensive sector and international experience and track record of developing and implementing people strategies, Ann-marie will prove a great addition to both our group executive and people leadership teams. We have an exciting people and cultural agenda ahead, and I am confident that Ann-marie has the experience, leadership skills and personality to support, shape and drive that journey,” said Patrick Coveney, CEO, SSP Group.
Murphy is currently Chief Operations & People Officer at UK-based The Gym Group and previously held similar roles at clothing retail brand New Look and travel operator TUI.
In September 2023, SSP Group’s ‘Pre-Close Trading Update’ forecast full-year sales of £3bn ($3.7bn). If accurate, the group’s revenue will be 37% higher than in 2022 and 16% above pre-pandemic levels.
