London-based VCCP Media has been appointed as the Agency of Record for Krispy Kreme in the UK and Ireland.
The communications agency said it will lead on media strategy and SEO optimisation for the US donut and coffee chain across the two nations, with responsibility for increasing awareness of Krispy Kreme’s e-commerce channel, app, online ordering and points-based loyalty programme, Krispy Kreme Rewards.
The appointment comes after Good Relations, VCCP Media’s sister PR agency, won the consumer brief for Krispy Kreme in the UK last year.
In a press release VCCP said the new partnership will allow the two agencies to work collaboratively to ‘maximise organic coverage and PR initiatives’.
“VCCP Media has shown that they have great insight into what we need from a media partner and are thrilled to work with them on the goals we want to achieve in the coming years. Their approach drums up creativity and we can’t wait to see what comes from this partnership,” said Emma Colquhoun, Chief Marketing Officer at Krispy Kreme.
Krispy Kreme currently operates 132 outlets across the UK and Ireland.
Alongside its brick-and-mortar stores, Krispy Kreme has a strong retail presence in over 1,500 UK supermarkets and fuel stations, including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Road Chef and Welcome Break.
VCCP Media also works with UK-based packaged food brands Cadbury and Walkers, as well as retaurant chain Domino’s.
