Flash Coffee Hong Kong has promoted Maria Bien to Head of Marketing to drive business growth and brand engagement in the local market.
Bien, who joined Flash Coffee in July 2022 as Growth and Partnerships Manager, succeeds Iris Yeung who stepped down from the Head of Marketing role in May 2023 to join hotel group The Park Lane.
Bien, who will report to Flash Coffee Hong Kong Managing Director Jonathan Tsao, will be responsible for formulating new marketing strategies to reach new customers and increase app adoption rates.
Singapore-based Flash Coffee opened its first store in Hong Kong in September 2021 in Sheung Wan and now operates 16 stores in the market.
Bien’s promotion is Flash Coffee’s second senior marketing appointment this year after Amadea E. Choo joined as Head of Marketing for Singapore in February 2023.
In May 2023, Flash Coffee raised $50m in Series B funding to accelerate its drive towards group-level profitability and ‘sustainably grow’ its footprint.
The value-focused coffee chain currently operates more than 240 stores across Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand and South Korea.
