Tata Consumer Products (TCP) has appointed David Atkinson as Senior Vice President and Head, UK & Ireland. The role will see Atkinson focus on strengthening TCP’s key tea brands, Tetley, Good Earth and teapigs alongside its ready-to-drink product range in key international markets.

Atkinson joins TCP from Hain Daniels Group where he served as Managing Director, Grocery, and has previously held senior roles at Procter & Gamble and RHM plc.

TCP said the move would generate greater operational efficiencies and business synergies between its brands.

In August 2022 TCP reported strong growth for its packaged coffee and tea brands, with the former category achieving 73% year-on-year revenue growth and a 43% increase in volumes.

Tata Consumer Products also licences Starbucks stores in India through its Tata Starbucks subsidiary, where it currently operates 274 stores.
