German delivery company Gorillas has launched four private label brands, including a packaged range, in Germany, France, the UK and the Netherlands.
The Hot Damn range includes coffee beans, coffee grounds, home-recyclable pods and an oat drink.
The company behind the popular European grocery app, which promises to deliver goods in as little as 10 minutes, said that the four private labels, which also includes everyday grocery items and alcoholic beverages, will offer an assortment of 50 value-focused products across 11 of its most demanded categories.
“Since day one, we wanted to develop our own products with unique flavours and creative packaging to perfectly match the needs and tastes of our customers. Our new private labels are also a key component of our profitability strategy and will enable us to develop new revenue streams across our core markets. Additionally, it reinforces our commitment to sustainability as we are focusing on environmentally friendly solutions for production and packaging”, said Kağan Sümer, Founder & CEO of Gorillas.
The products have been developed in accordance with data analysis of the 16 million orders Gorillas has delivered since becoming operational in May 2020.
The launch follows an announcement from Gorillas that it is sharpening its focus to grow its five key markets - Germany, France, UK, Netherlands and the US – a move that will see the company make 300 members of its global office staff redundant, representing around half of its global headcount.
