Krispy Kreme has announced Jeremiah Ashukian as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective from January 2023.
Ashukian had worked for previous employer Mars Wrigley since 2001, most recently as Chief Financial Officer of the food giant’s North America division.
He will succeed Josh Charlesworth in the CFO role. Charlesworth, who has served as Krispy Kreme’s Chief Financial Officer since April 2017, will continue in his role as Global President and Chief Operating Officer, which he took up in June 2022.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am excited to welcome Jeremiah to the Krispy Kreme family. We are confident that his strong financial background and deep global experience in the consumer sector will help drive our strategic plans and deliver long-term value for shareholders. I also want to thank Josh for his many invaluable contributions as CFO over the past five years. Our organisation will continue to benefit from Josh’s leadership and insights in his Global President and COO roles and I look forward to continuing to advance our strategy together,” said Mike Tattersfield, CEO, Krispy Kreme.
“I am thrilled to be joining one of the most iconic and loved sweet treat brands at such an exciting time in its history. Krispy Kreme continues to have multiple attractive avenues to drive high growth and value creation, and I am excited to partner with this incredible management team to help pilot this strategy as we move forward,” Ashukian added.
In November 2022 Krispy Kreme cited the continued execution of its omni-channel strategy in North America as a key contributor to its $377.5m third quarter revenues. The donut and coffee chain achieved 10% year-on-year sales growth in the three months ended 2 October 2022.
Headquartered in North Carolina, Krispy Kreme operates approximately 1,800 outlets in over 30 countries worldwide. The company announced its most recent market entry, in Jordan, in October 2022 and will also launch in Jamaica early next year.
