Swedish coffee roaster, retailer and coffee shop, The Löfbergs Group, has announced the appointment of Anders Fredriksson as the group’s new CEO. In a press statement, the Karlstad-headquartered company said Fredriksson would take on the role in August 2021, with current CFO, Fredrik Nilsson, continuing as acting CEO until then.

Fredriksson has worked in management positions for the last 20 years and has been CEO of Swedish dairy company Norrmejerier since 2015. “He has sound experience of the food industry and international business as well as a clear style of leadership with focus on building strong teams, which has contributed to his success in carrying out process of change”, said Kathrine Löfberg, chair of the board at Löfbergs.

Founded in Sweden in 1906, The Löfbergs Group represents the Löfbergs, Peter Larsen Kaffe, Percol, Green Cup, Kobbs and SuperBonobo brands across 10 markets in Europe and Canada. Reporting a pre-pandemic turnover of SEK 1.6bn ($190.8m), the brand also lays claim to being the world's largest purchasers of organic and Fairtrade-labeled coffee.

In October 2020, Löfbergs announced it would become the exclusive coffee supplier to 138-strong Swedish café chain Wayne’s Coffee, a partnership scheduled to commence in Spring 2021.
