Heyman brings more than 35 years of IT experience to the role, having previously led projects at large public enterprises.
According to a Scooter’s press release ‘Heyman’s expertise in digital transformation will result in data-driven, dynamic decision-making, allowing the company and franchise system to elevate overall customer experience while striving to deliver the best drive-thru interaction in the world.’
Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Nebraska, US, Scooter’s Coffee now operates more than 300 drive-thrus in 20 states.
Drive-thru has proved a lucrative sales channel for many branded coffee chains throughout the pandemic, providing a convenient and safe alternative to in-store transactions.
While Covid-19 trading restrictions wiped nearly one quarter from the US branded coffee shop market in 2020, some operators, including drive-thrus and suburban locations experienced upswings in trade.
World Coffee Portal data shows Scooter’s Coffee opened 100 stores in 2020 –significantly higher than the market average.
