Former Domino’s Pizza executive Jeffrey Lawrence has served on the Copenhagen-based coffee chain’s Board of Directors since April 2024 and is credited with strengthening digital sales growth
Danish coffee and food chain Joe & The Juice has promoted digital sales expert Jeffrey Lawrence to Chairman of its Board of Directors.
Lawrence has significant experience building digitally enabled foodservice and consumer brands and has served on Joe & the Juice’s Board of Directors since April 2024.
In a press release, Copenhagen-based Joe & The Juice credited Lawrence with driving a near 10% increase in digital sales over the last 12 months, as well as supporting franchised outlet expansion.
His appointment comes as Joe & The Juice continues to focus on its growing digital sales channels, which include online orders and third-party delivery.
“Jeff’s elevation to Chairman reflects how his active participation has made a material difference to the company’s performance and strategy. Over the past year, Joe & The Juice has achieved continued impressive same-store sales and revenue growth, as we also opened our 400th unit globally. Unit economics remain incredibly strong, and digital sales are now nearing 40%. Jeff’s experience will be vital as we continue to expand globally through both company-owned and franchise openings,” said CEO Thomas Nørøxe.
Lawrence, who previously spent over 20 years in senior executive roles at Domino’s Pizza, highlighted Joe & The Juice as one of the ‘most exciting and dynamic restaurant brands, with true global consumer appeal’.
“Over time, the company has finetuned a winning formula to provide fresh, quality products, with a focus on hospitality and meeting the needs of today’s digitally-enabled consumer. I have been inspired by the ambition and potential of the team and look forward to working closely together to continue to build the Joe & The Juice brand globally,” Lawrence added.
Founded in 2002, Joe & The Juice currently operates more than 400 stores across 19 markets globally. Lawrence’s promotion comes just a few weeks after the coffee chain added former KFC Global Chief Marketing Officer Jennelle Tilling to its Board of Directors, which comprises eight members.
Lawrence also serves as an independent board member and Chairman of the Audit Committee at QSR chain Shake Shack, as well as a Senior Advisor to New York-based private equity firm General Atlantic, which acquired a majority stake in Joe & The Juice in November 2023.
