Le Pain Quotidien, which currently operates 200 stores across 18 markets globally, has signed a master franchise agreement with BeGreen to launch in Paraguay.

The Belgian bakery-café chain currently operates 80 outlets across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Uruguay – with a Peru launch expected in the second quarter of 2025 in partnership with local franchisee Inversiones FISA.

Le Pain Quotidien opened 16 new outlets across Latin America in 2024, including four in Argentina and 10 in Mexico – its two largest markets in the region with 39 and 28 stores respectively.

“We are excited to announce our newest master franchise partnership with BeGreen. This exciting collaboration marks another step in our global expansion, as we continue to share our passion for quality ingredients, artisanal bread, and warm, welcoming bakeries with new communities. We can’t wait to see Le Pain Quotidien flourish in Paraguay and look forward to welcoming our first guests soon,” Le Pain Quotidien wrote on LinkedIn.

Alongside Paraguay and Peru, Le Pain Quotidien has also signed international master franchise agreements in Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan – as well as a deal to re-enter India with licensee Bake & Brew.

The bakery-café chain currently operates 68 stores across nine European markets, 49 outlets in the US and a handful of sites in Japan, the UAE and Morocco
