Henry Ayers, co-founder of specialty coffee roaster The Gentlemen Baristas, has launched a new wholesale coffee business – All Things Bloom.
All Things Bloom launched in May 2024 as an online, direct-to-consumer (DTC) business with 10 packaged coffees, sourced from Brazil, Guatemala, Burundi, Zambia and Papua New Guinea, which are hand roasted at a facility in Battersea, London.
In a press release, the Hestia Hospitality-backed business said it has already begun supplying key UK wholesale clients, including Michelin-starred restaurants and prominent bakeries.
All Things Bloom has also partnered with social impact restaurant Home Kitchen to offer barista training programmes for people affected by homelessness.
“I wanted our coffee to be beautiful in the way it’s roasted to perfection and packed with quality flavours. I also wanted it to be beautiful in the way it makes an impact; to the farmers we source from, the communities we partner for life with, and to the vulnerable people we support alongside Home Kitchen. I have so much more I want to achieve with coffee,” Ayers said.
Henry Ayers co-founded The Gentlemen Baristas in 2014 and grew the London-based business to 11 coffee shops alongside robust wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels. The Gentlemen Baristas entered administration in January 2024 before being acquired for £785,000 ($998,822) by an unnamed buyer in March 2024.
Alongside Ayers, All Things Bloom is being led by Hestia Hospitality CEO Andrew Fishwick and Tom O’Toole and John Rowe – Managing Director and Commercial Director respectively at Bloom Construction Group.
