US iced tea chain HTeaO has unveiled a new premium coffee menu set to be rolled-out across its 100 US stores this year.

Texas-based HTeaO has signed a distribution agreement with Free Rein Coffee Company, which will see the roaster’s American Dirt (dark roast) and Homestead (medium roast) coffees used for its drip and espresso-based ranges.

In a joint press release, HTeaO and Free Rein said premium coffee represents a huge opportunity for HTeaO as it seeks to branch out into other beverage categories. The iced tea chain offers more than 25 iced tea varieties alongside iced juices, refreshers and coolers.

“We’re excited to bring this great coffee to all of our HTeaO locations. We chose to partner with Free Rein after we fell in love with their bold yet smooth blends and we know our guests will enjoy them too,” said Heath Nielsen, President, HTeaO.

Launched in 2009, HTeaO has 34 stores in the latter stages of development and an additional 50 sites under construction. The iced tea chain has previously mooted plans to have 500 outlets open by the end of 2026.

Founded by American actor Cole Hauser, Free Rein launched its e-commerce site in October 2023. It sells a range of nine coffees in packaged wholebean, ground and coffee pod formats.
