London-based Full Steam Espresso has appointed Myles Shapcott as Chief Commercial Officer for its specialty coffee roasters Volcano Coffee Works and Assembly Coffee.
The appointment marks a return to Full Steam Espresso for Shapcott who served as Head of Commercial for Assembly Coffee and Head of Sales and Business Development for Volcano Coffee Works 2017-2019. Most recently, he worked for Cornwall-based specialty roaster Origin Coffee, most recently as Commercial Director.
In a press release Full Steam Espresso said Shapcott’s senior commercial experience and ‘track record of success’ will further cement its strong standing in the UK specialty coffee market.

Full Steam Espresso launched Volcano Coffee Works in 2010 and Assembly Coffee in 2015. The business operates The Door coffee shop in Brixton, London, which serves coffee from the two specialty roasters and serves as its corporate headquarters. Volcano Coffee Works also operates the West Norwood Volcano Cafe in Dulwich.
Volcano Coffee Works supplies over 250 specialty coffee shops in the UK while Assembly Coffee provides coffee for cafés, premium restaurants and luxury hotels across the UK and internationally, including Approach in South Korea, Japan’s Omotesando, Laïzé in France and Coffee District in the Netherlands.
