In a press release, Caribou Coffee said Garry will lead hiring and staff retention initiatives for its corporate headquarters in Minneapolis and across its US stores. Caribou Coffee currently operates stores across 20 US states, with over 300 in Minnesota.
Garry will also be responsible for organisational, performance management and talent development programmes.

Founded in 1992, Caribou Coffee currently operates more than 800 stores across 11 markets. The coffee chain is set for significant US outlet expansion after signing franchise agreements for over 300 new stores with multi-unit operators across the country in April 2023.
In January 2024, Caribou Coffee signed a $260m agreement with JDE Peet’s which will see the Amsterdam-headquartered coffee group license its products in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) and foodservice channels.
The agreement includes the transfer of Caribou Coffee’s roasting operations in Minnesota and will see JDE Peet’s supply coffee across Caribou’s global store network.
Caribou Coffee and JDE Peet’s are both backed by German investment conglomerate JAB Holding Company. In August 2021, JAB created the Panera Brands business unit comprising the Caribou Coffee, Panera Bread and Einstein Bros. Bagels chains.
