Caravan has signed its first UK supermarket distribution deal which will see its retail packaged coffee sold in more than 250 Waitrose stores.

The agreement includes Caravan’s ‘The Daily’ and ‘No Boundaries’ packaged ground coffee being stocked in more than 250 of Waitrose’s 329 UK stores, while its ‘Daily’ and ‘Market Blend’ coffee pods will be sold in over 120 outlets. Both ranges will also be available on Waitrose’s e-commerce site.

In a press release, the London-based coffee roaster and hospitality group said the listing is part of its goal to make ‘great coffee accessible to all’.

“We are so excited to see Caravan coffee stocked in Waitrose stores across the country and share our passion for good quality coffee. From creating signature blends fit for morning, noon and night in our very own roastery in North London, we want to make it easy for people to choose great coffee in local stores,” said Laura Harper Hinton, CEO, Caravan.

Caravan opened its first site in 2010 at Exmouth Market, east London, and currently operates seven outlets, three coffee brew bars and a 10,000sq ft roastery.

In July 2023, the business announced it would open its eighth and largest outlet in Covent Garden, London, before the end of 2023.

The Caravan deal adds to Waitrose’s expansive retail coffee offering, which includes packaged coffee from large branded coffee chains, such as Costa Coffee, Caffè Nero and Starbucks, as well as coffee roasters Grind, Union Hand Roasted Coffee, Roastworks Coffee Co and Grumpy Mule
