J.M. Smucker has announced four leadership appointments to help support the growth and development of its coffee, consumer foods and pet food businesses.
To enhance its marketing and commercial leadership, J.M. Smucker has appointed Gail Hollander as Chief Marketing Officer and Robert Crane as Head of Sales Commercialisation.
Ohio-based J.M. Smucker said Hollander will be responsible for ‘leveraging sophisticated media modelling’ to maximise the effectiveness of its advertising spend.
Crane, who previously led the company’s pet food sales division, will oversee J.M. Smucker's group sales and commercialisation functions to drive revenue growth across its three business categories.
J.M. Smucker has also promoted Tim Wayne to General Manager for its Away From Home, Canada and International divisions, where he will oversee strategies for each business area, and Angie Burick as Senior Vice President, Finance and Controller.
Burick will coordinate J.M. Smucker’s finance and strategic business functions to deliver monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
She will report to Chief Financial Officer Tucker Marshall, who is undertaking oversight for the company’s corporate development and M&A activities.
“These leadership updates reflect our commitment to evaluate our organisational structure, as necessary, to ensure the continued advancement of our organisation and that we execute with excellence. I am confident these leaders will help drive the continued progress of our strategy and support the growth and development of our talented teams,” said Mark Smucker, CEO, J.M. Smucker.
In March 2023, J.M. Smucker reported third quarter total sales growth of 8% to reach $2.2bn.
The company’s US Retail Coffee segment, which includes the Folgers, Café Bustelo and licensed Dunkin’ at-home and retail coffee ranges, achieved 11% sales growth to reach $735m in the three months to 31 January 2023.
