Premium chocolate and coffee chain Knoops has appointed Executive Chairman William Gordon-Harris as its new CEO.

Gordon-Harris, who has held the Executive Chairman position since April 2019, succeeds Tori Nunn who stepped down from the CEO role at the start of July 2023.

In his new role Gordon-Harris will seek to continue Knoops’ strong sales and outlet growth. The premium chocolate and coffee chain achieved a 78% year-on-year rise in revenue and expanded from five to 11 stores over the last 12 months.

Knoops has nine further sites set to open within the next year, including stores in Bath and London’s Notting Hill this month.

Gordon-Harris will also be responsible for bolstering the organisation’s senior management ‘so Knoops can optimise the success to date and accelerate the brand scale up both in the UK and internationally’, according to Propel.

“As CEO, I will accelerate our rapid expansion. Knoops is one of the most exciting omnichannel hospitality businesses in the UK. In 2023 we continue to build on the success to date as we create this category with its vast addressable market and become the global brand leader,” he said.

East Sussex-based Knoops plans to open more than 120 UK sites by 2028 and has previously mooted an ambitious goal of reaching 3,000 sites globally by 2030.
