Nick Orrin has been appointed Managing Director of Costa Coffee UK & Ireland, a position he has held in the interim since February 2023.

Orrin has worked for Costa Coffee since 2012 in various management roles, including Operations Director for both its Costa Express self-serve business and Costa Enterprises, which operates Proud to Serve corporate partner coffee bars.

He took on the role of Interim Managing Director following the departure of Neil Lake in February 2023, who is now CEO of London-based Laser Clinic Group.

Founded in 1971, Costa Coffee operates over 2,800 outlets across the UK & Ireland alongside more than 1,300 stores in 32 international markets.

Costa Coffee’s self-serve Costa Express networks comprises more than 13,400 units in the UK and over 1,600 globally, while its Proud to Serve network spans 15,000 sites globally.

Coca-Cola, which acquired Costa Coffee for £3.9bn ($5.4bn) in 2018, reported robust trading for Costa Coffee in the UK during its second quarter. The US beverage giant said its coffee segment continues to post steady revenue and unit volume growth, with the latter reaching 5% for the three months ended 30 June 2023.
