Jim Williamson has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at Scoffs Group, Costa Coffee's largest UK franchise partner, where he will be tasked with leading the company’s growth strategy.
Launched in 2012, Scoffs Group currently operates 114 Costa Coffee stores across the UK.
Williamson will lead Scoffs Group’s end-to-end financial operations and prepare the franchisee for its ‘accelerated growth ambitions’.
Scoffs Group said Williamson’s strategic skill and experience will enable the franchisee to ‘level up as we gear ourselves for the next phase of our exciting future’.
Williamson previously held roles at Costa Coffee from 2018 until April 2022, most recently as Head of UK Retail Franchise. He has also held senior finance positions at UK high street retailer Marks & Spencer and construction distributor Travis Perkins.
“We are delighted to welcome Jim to Scoffs. He joins at a crucial time as we continue our journey to become a leading multi-franchise business. In addition to being our new CFO, Jim will also sit on the Scoffs Management Board. We’re confident that Jim will build on Scoff’s strong financial foundation, while developing capabilities that further strengthen the group’s competitive advantage as we continue to grow our Costa business and launch into other brands,” said Paul Turner, Chief Operating Officer at Scoffs Group.
Costa Coffee, which announced Philippe Schaillee as its new CEO in February 2023, is the UK’s largest coffee chain with approximately 2,700 stores across the country.
World Coffee Portal research shows the total UK branded coffee shop market comprises 9,885 outlets and is forecast to reach 11,690 outlets by 2028.
