Good Earth Coffeehouse is targeting growth across Canada following the launch of its new café design earlier this year.

Founded in 1991, the Calgary-based company currently operates 48 stores across Canada. This year Good Earth opened new outlets across western Canada in Calgary, Saskatoon, Edmonton and Prince George.

The coffee chain will open three stores in Calgary in November 2022 ahead of 10 further locations across the country before April 2023. The outlets set to open in the first quarter next year include the company’s first Ontario store.

In March 2022 Good Earth partnered with bookstore chain Indigo to launch cafés within select stores across the country. Good Earth plans to open at least 11 stores within Indigo’s 88 bookstore portfolio in 2023.

"We are so pleased to be growing and reconnecting communities with exceptional coffee and fresh food served at a social hub. We believe the human connection and interaction that takes place in our coffeehouses is valuable – as valuable as the coffee and food we serve,” said Nan Eskenazi, Founder, Good Earth Cafes Ltd.

World Coffee Portal forecast the Canadian branded coffee shop market to reach 7,600 outlets by 2025.
