Swedish coffee brand Löfbergs has launched a range of packaged coffee in the UK via supermarket chain Tesco and online grocery platform Ocado.

Marking the brand’s debut in the UK, Karlstad-based Löfbergs said the range comprises three 450g products in both ground and wholebean forms.

“By bringing the number one Swedish coffee brand over to the UK, we are excited to show off a taste of Swedish heritage to the British people. Löfbergs is a company that cares, not just about people but the planet and, as such, we are on course to be 100% circular by 2030. We have been working on perfecting the taste of our products since we began over a hundred years ago, so consumers can expect coffee that does more than just satisfy their caffeine cravings,” said Wilson Clarke, Managing Director, Löfbergs UK.

Löfbergs roasts more than 30,000 tonnes of sustainably sourced coffee annually in Sweden. The company built a second roastery in Karlstad last year to meet increased market demand for whole bean coffee.

Achieving turnovers exceeding £200m, the company has reduced its climate impact by 73% since 2005.

In October 2022 Löfbergs joined the European Coffee Federation, an industry organisation focused on the long-term sustainability of coffee supply chains.

Löfbergs is part of The Löfbergs Group. Founded in Sweden in 1906, The Löfbergs Group represents the Löfbergs, Peter Larsen Kaffe, Percol, Green Cup, Kobbs and SuperBonobo brands across 10 markets in Europe and Canada.
