US hospitality group Inspire Brands has announced Dan Lynn as its news Chief Commercial Officer as it targets accelerated growth across its seven brands.

Inspire Brands, which counts Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins among its portfolio, highlighted Lynn’s ‘entrepreneurial mindset’ as a key strength as the commercial team seeks to enhance its brand loyalty, digital offering and revenue management.

In October 2022, Inspire’s leading brand Dunkin’ rolled-out a new Dunkin’ Rewards programme across the US in response to consumer desire for better flexibility and variety in the loyalty platform.

Lynn co-founded ZUZU Hospitality, a revenue platform for independent hotels across Asia, in July 2016 and previously worked for global travel group Expedia, where he launched the brand in 13 new markets and served for two years as CEO of AirAsiaExpedia.

As Chief Commercial Officer, Lynn will report directly to Inspire CEO Paul Brown.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with Dan multiple times throughout our careers and know first-hand his excellent leadership abilities and acumen in guiding organisations through transformation. The capabilities that we are building within the Commercial Group are incredibly important as the engine that powers our brands. Dan has a strong track record of helping brands realise their growth potential and I’m excited to see him apply his talent here at Inspire,” said Brown.

Inspire Brands acquired Dunkin’ Brands, comprising coffee and donut chain Dunkin’ and ice cream chain Baskin-Robbins, for $11.3bn in December 2020.

The company also operates the Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jimmy John’s, Rusty Taco and Sonic Drive-In brands, with a total outlet portfolio of more than 32,000 stores across 70 countries.

In September 2022, Inspire Brands announced former Arby’s Chief Operating Officer John Kelly as its new Chief Company Restaurant Officer, responsible for overseeing operations for all of the group’s chains.
