Tims China has launched three Tims Express outlets within Easy Joy convenience stores in Beijing, the first openings following a recent partnership with China's largest convenience store chain.
The locations, which adopt a new Tims Express format integrated within the existing Easy Joy stores, follows a recent agreement to develop co-branded ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee products in more than 27,800 Easy Joy outlets.
“We are collaborating closely with Easy Joy in store design and product research and development to offer customers a convenient and premium coffee experience through this new model. We are excited to open these Tims Express stores in Beijing and look forward to future growth within Easy Joy’s vast network of more than 27,800 convenience stores,” said Robin Zhou, General Manager, Tims China’s North China Region.
Tims China, the franchisor of Tim Hortons in China, operates over 400 stores in the country. Investors, including Cartesian Capital Group and Silver Crest Management LLC, pledged in March 2022 to commit up to $94.5m to fund Tims China's five-year growth plan to open 1,500 Tims China stores by 2027.
