US coffee chain appoints former Walmart President and CEO Shelley Broader to its board of directors

Broader, former President and CEO of Walmart International EMEA, brings more than 13 years of experience as a public board member to Dutch Bros Coffee.
“As Dutch Bros continues to grow, it’s critical that we expand the expertise on our board,” said Joth Ricci, President and CEO of Dutch Bros Coffee.
“Shelley’s experience as a senior executive, her depth of knowledge around leading people and teams, and her passion for brands that make a difference will be invaluable to Dutch Bros. We look forward to her contributions,” added Ricci.
Commenting on the appointment, Broader said: “Dutch Bros is an exciting, fresh brand that truly resonates with its customers and strives to exceed their expectations.”

Founded in 1992, Oregan-based Dutch Bros Coffee is the fourth largest coffee-focused chain in the US, behind Starbucks, Dunkin’ and Tim Hortons, operating 470 stores in 11 states.
In August 2021, Dutch Bros Coffee publicly registered for a proposed IPO with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). According to a Bloomberg report in May 2021, the US coffee chain could reportedly be worth up to $3bn.
