The 19-strong chain, which operates a franchise model across the UAE and Pakistan, said the new store would “reinforce its strategic vision for global expansion.”

Announcing the opening of the Newport Road site on June 6, Coffee Planet said the concept aimed to offer UK customers a combination of Arabian Heritage and modern Dubai alongside its speciality coffee range.

“We are extremely proud of to have opened our first managed café. The new café is an exciting step forward for the company, offering the United Kingdom a specialty coffee experience in a high-street environment,” said Coffee Planet Managing Director, Robert Jones.

Coffee planet is part of a growing speciality coffee shop scene in the Middle East and operates a HACCP and UTZ-certified roastery in Dubai. Alongside its coffee shops, the firm also operates foodservice and retail business across the Middle East and Asia offering a range of roasted whole bean, ground coffee and capsule products.
